Additionally, we are Whistler's largest conference resort hotel, offering 5 unique dining outlets, a slope-side Health Club, and 519 guestrooms and suites.Job Description:As a Banquets Captain, you will help to create a special event our guests will remember. Your ability to work as a team player, combined with your service skills and your engaging personality, will ensure that our guests have a memorable experience.Starting Rate of Pay:
$19.00. We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $23.35 per hour.Responsibilities:Provides excellent guest service in both F&B functions and meeting events.Sets up and tears down F&B functions as well as meeting events as required.Helps maintain a clean and organized workplace.Assists the Banquet Manager with preparing for and executing functions.Leads a team of Servers for assigned functions.Ensures that all aspects of the dining room/banquet facilities are ready.Actively participates in the Chateau Whistler's environmental program and department specific initiatives in working towards sustainable operations.Qualifications:Serving It Right Certificate are required (can be obtained upon hire).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).Able to work under time constraints and with minimal supervision.Must thrive under pressure and be knowledgeable in guest recovery.Previous supervisory experience preferred.Previous experience in Banquets is preferred.Additional Information:Visa Requirements:
