Job SummaryResponsible for developing, implementing, and assessing innovative and impactful co-curricular programs that enhance student engagement and the overall student experience.

ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Facilitates and leads programs and activities that build community and support the engagement and success of all students.

Collaborates with key stakeholders and advocates for appropriate program resources to best serve the community.

Serves as a secondary point of contact for registered student organizations (RSO).

Serves on the Student Activities Leadership team.

Recruits, hires, trains, and supervises assigned professional staff.

Monitors and tracks campus programming budgets (i.e., KAB, MAC, and campus-wide events).

Oversees the assessment of campus programming and makes recommendations for improvement.

Develops contingency plans and protocols for managing emergencies or crises during student events and/or activities.

Creates a marketing and communication plan through various channels to increase student participation and engagement.

Oversees collaborative programming opportunities with academic units and campus partners (i.e., Engineer Week, Health Promotion Week).

Assists with planning and implementing divisional signature programs and university traditions, including chairing Week of Welcome and Homecoming committees.

Collaborates with leadership on implementing and using the Campus Labs Engage platform.

Coordinates use of the Owl Life student engagement software to create and publicize student programs and events, track student participation, and ensure compliance with divisional and university guidelines.

Provides support for other divisional priorities and initiatives beyond the department's scope, as requested.

Required QualificationsEducational RequirementsBachelor's degree from an institution of higher education in College Student Affairs Administration, Higher Education, Public Administration, or related field.

Required ExperienceSeven (7) years of experience related to the position, including graduate assistantships.

Preferred QualificationsAdditional Preferred QualificationsDemonstrated experience and knowledge of student development and frameworks.

Preferred Educational QualificationsAdvanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education relevant to the position.

Preferred ExperiencePrior experience within a comprehensive Student Activities office.

Other InformationThis is a supervisory position. This position does not have any financial responsibilities. This position will not be required to drive. This role is considered a position of trust. This position does not require a purchasing card (P-Card). This position may travel 1% - 24% of the time. This position does not require security clearance.
