The Sr. Manager of International Retail Operations will be responsible for developing and executing strategies for Alo's international retail expansion. This role involves assessing market viability, entry considerations, and cultural nuances to support expansion into new markets. The candidate will define the store operations approach to adapt North American operations technology and processes to localized business models. Establishing and managing a critical path for opening new markets while coordinating with various cross-functional areas is a key responsibility.The role includes serving as the cross-functional Program Manager for owned and operated locations, managing concurrent country openings. The candidate will maintain detailed project plans and provide executive-level updates on new country enablement status leading to store openings. Localizing and translating operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance in new markets is also part of the job. Partnering with the Global Education team to develop localized onboarding materials is essential for successful operations in new regions.Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Retail Strategy and/or Operations, or in Management Consulting.A strong background in leading and supporting retail functions in international markets, particularly in Europe and Asia, is essential.The candidate should be a self-starter with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and manage risks effectively.Strong business acumen across multiple business areas is necessary to navigate the complexities of international retail operations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for building relationships and managing teams across different regions.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint, is required for data analysis and presentations.
