And under this roof, we protect what matters most.Team or Function Overview:Siplast, a brand of GAF Commercial, offers a uniquely segmented and dedicated portfolio of building enclosure solutions for the commercial construction market. The Territory Manager is part of our dedicated Siplast team. This position is remote and generally requires the establishment of, and operation from, an in-home office and requires travel of 60-80% to various customers, events and offsite meetings. www.siplast.com .Summary:The Territory Manager, Siplast is responsible for the promotion and sales of Siplast products and all aspects of general administration within his/her assigned territory. This position is primarily responsible for the southern California area and reports directly to the Regional Sales Director.Essential Duties:Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Sell Siplast products through specification selling to major owners, architects, roofing consultants, and roofing contractors including identification of prospective jobs and decision making individual, timely contact, and effective follow-up.Assist with the development and maintenance of a quality select roofing contractor and lightweight contractor program, based on knowledge of contractor business, general market knowledge, and active involvement in local trade organizations and activities.Provide technical services including development and/or review of roofing specifications for prospective jobs, participation in pre-job meetings (when required), conduct periodic job/rooftop inspections (when required), and basic troubleshooting.Develop, monitor and manage Sales budget including forecasting, sales and related business expenses ensuring that all territory expenses are within defined limits, and policies followed.Complete all required administrative and electronic reports to include itinerary, expense reports, prospect lists, job quotes, shipping forecasts, call reports, activity reports, guarantee forms, factory warehouse inventory reports per established guidelines and time frames.Administer pricing guidelines to include maximizing price on each job, proper and timely documentation for pricing, and responsible determination for required pricing deviations.Assist the Credit Manager in maintaining all accounts in a "current" or "acceptable" status.Physical Demands:Ability to drive car and travel (as necessary), without assistance (may be extensive during the first year of training).Ability to climb ladders, work with heights and demonstrate roof applications.Must have the ability to work in outdoor conditions (including high/low temperatures, wind, dust, humidity, etc).Visual acuity to perform inspections, read computer screens, documents, etc.Manual dexterity to perform data entry, filing, and site inspections.Ability to hear and speak on the phone.Ability to bend, pull, and reach to perform filing functions.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (booth, sample boxes, products, etc).Under This Roof, We Require:High School diploma or GED.5+ years of relevant experience in the roofing, building, or construction industry.1+ years experience managing client/customer relationships.Excellent interpersonal skills including communication skills both verbal and written.Must have (and maintain) a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record.Ability to travel as necessary.Ability to maintain a credit card for business-related expenses.Under This Roof, We Also Value:Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.Sales experience in the building material industry preferably in multi-channel selling of roofing materials to distributors, contractors, consultants and architects.Experience with MS Office, G Suite and other sales applications and software.How We Protect What Matters Most:We offer a wide range of health insurance options that include medical, dental, and vision for you and your family.Our Family-Building benefits support the many different journeys to fertility and parenthood.Our robust 401K plan includes an employer match contribution with your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions.Other exciting programs and perks are available to help employees achieve work-life balance.Professional growth and development are very important to us!We put diversity and inclusion into action with our Employee Resource Groups.GAF complies with federal, state, and local disability laws and makes reasonable accommodations for applicants and employees with disabilities.
