St. Edward's University of Austin, Texas invites applications for the position of Director of Technology and Operations. The Director of Technology and Operations provides vision, strategy, and day-to-day management to the team responsible for the division's technology and operations priorities. The incumbent provides leadership to an integrated proactive technology and operations team and is responsible for the management of human resource issues and supervision of the Gift and Data Services Coordinator.Responsibilities:
Envisions, articulates, and implements the plan for achieving division's technology and operations priorities; engages with colleagues and constituents to identify and surpass challenges; evaluates progress using data analytics; and updates priorities with direction from the associate vice president.Assists in planning the budget for a comprehensive portfolio of information systems and data services.Manages the division's application technology portfolio conducting needs analyses, evaluation, and implementation of technology and operations solutions in compliance with University and industry standards, best practices, and policies.Enforces appropriate and full use of available division information systems and technology applications monitoring usage, data quality, and value.Manages the daily data, system, and advancement services operations in the advancement module of the University's Enterprise system and division's third-party systems.Works collaboratively with colleagues across Advancement, Accounting, IT, Institutional Effectiveness and Planning, Student Affairs, and other departments to conceptualize, manage, and complete shared technology, data analytics, reporting, and operational projects as required.Serves as a member of the University's Enterprise Technical Governance, Data Integrity Group, and other groups as needed.Supervises the Gift and Data Services Coordinator.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Requirements:
For Consideration, a Bachelor's degree is required. Master's degree in business or computer/management information systems preferred. Minimum of five years of advanced information systems experience providing administration of and technical support for ERP/CRM/SaaS solutions. Experience with higher education and finance information technology, Banner, and the Salesforce platform preferred. Must have an advanced understanding of operations, data, and information systems principles including project management, SDLC, data integrity, quality assurance, and change management. Demonstrated ability in operational process implementation, analysis, compliance, performance measurement, and quality metrics. Strong technical knowledge of information technology infrastructure, SQL, data models, business intelligence, data visualization, data integration, and ETL tools. Windows, Oracle, SQL Server, BOOMI, Tableau preferred. Must have advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and other computer applications to perform complex data analysis and present actionable insights.
