A law firm in Boca Raton, FL, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Trusts and Estates Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience in complex estate planning, asset protection planning, trust and estate settlement, and taxation. An LL.M. in Estate Planning or Taxation and membership in The Florida Bar are required. International estate planning experience is a plus.Duties:Advise clients on complex estate planning strategies, including wills, trusts, and asset protection.Draft and review estate planning documents, including but not limited to wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.Manage the administration of estates and trusts, ensuring compliance with legal and tax requirements.Represent clients in probate court proceedings.Guide on tax implications related to estate planning and asset protection.Develop and implement asset protection strategies for high-net-worth clients.Conduct legal research and stay updated on estate planning laws and regulations changes.Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to provide comprehensive legal services.Assist clients with charitable planning and the creation of philanthropic structures.Handle all aspects of trust and estate settlement, including filing necessary documents, paying debts and taxes, and distributing assets.Requirements:3-6 years of experience in trusts and estates law.Extensive experience in complex estate planning, asset protection planning, trust and estate settlement, and taxation.Proven ability to manage and administer complex estates and trusts.Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws as they apply to estate planning.International estate planning experience is considered a plus.Education:Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school.LL.M. in Estate Planning or Taxation.Certifications:Must be a member of The Florida Bar and be in good standing.Skills:Excellent analytical and research skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Proficiency in legal research tools and estate planning software.Client-focused with strong interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
