We are looking for a dynamic and passionate person to join the team as our Cost Accounting Inventory Manager. The Cost Accounting Inventory Manager will manage all aspects of inventory accounting, cost accounting and inventory valuation, including responsibility for all monthly closing activity and margin analysis.Responsibilities

Review inventory valuation, purchase accruals and assist with month-end close and financial reporting for inventory accounts.Manage and maintain the accounting team processes related to COGS, including cost allocation, expense recognition, and accruals.Continuously monitor inventory balances and report on inventory adjustments ensuring any significant variances are investigated and explained.Prepare and/or review monthly journal entries related to inventory and COGS to record inventory movement, accruals for inventory.Review and update costing methodology to provide management with the best information for making decisions.Own assigned month-end close processes and key controls, prepare and/or review account reconciliations and record journal entries and improve supporting documentation.Develop, prepare, and present financial analyses that include accurate and reliable information to provide direction in strategic decisions.Support accounting and reporting requirements including internal and external audit, period closing and explanation of variances to budget, management reporting and prior periods. Ensure audit preparedness and compliance. Support external audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility.Act as primary finance liaison in physical inventory counts, review monthly cycle count results, and investigate variances as needed.Maintain relationships within inventory accounting team and other business partners including working closely with the FP&A and Operational functions to increase transparency on business performance and support cost control and governance.Identify areas for process improvements, efficiencies, while establishing SOPs and process mapping.Who You Are

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.4-6 years of experience in cost accounting and/or inventory valuations and management.Knowledge in average cost accounting and manufacturing a plus.Prior experience in CPG industry and inventory management.Proficiency in Netsuite, Excel, and/or inventory tools.Strong understanding of accounting principles and cost accounting methodologies.Experience analyzing and reporting financial data and deliverables.Outstanding analytical skills with demonstrated success organizing, analyzing and accurately interpreting large amounts of data.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different departments.Challenge conventional practices and use creativity and information to lead, innovate, problem solve, and implement ideas to contribute to the growth of the organization.Leadership skills with experience in managing teams and driving results in a dynamic environment.Position : Manager, Cost Accounting InventoryReports to : ControllerLocation : RemoteType : Full-Time, exemptSalary Range Opportunity:

The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $130,000 + 20% annual bonus.Compensation Philosophy & Total Comp:
