What You Will Do

The Analyst, Trade Optimization will partner with the Business Analytics team to develop strategies and plans necessary to meet the organization’s revenue growth deliverables. This person will collaborate across Sales, Finance, and Accounting to implement improved trade planning processes using Vividly TPM. They will monitor accuracy and performance of promotions and drive best-in-class trade planning across all Chomps customers.

Responsibilities

Monitor the accuracy of promotions loaded into Vividly TPM and lead the monthly trade review process.

Work with sales team to revise out-of-compliance promotions.

Pull all necessary data to update monthly trade dashboards and provide real-time trade details across Chomps’ sales channels.

Help the finance team with Month-End-Close trade reconciliation, finding, commenting, or resolving any missed and/or accruals variances.

Analyze the effectiveness, efficiency, and ROI of key customer-specific events and partner with sales to review and improve future promotions.

Monitor the ongoing use of Vividly and provide detailed feedback on improvements to promotion planning and trade reconciliation processes.

Partner with sales and finance teams to uncover opportunities for improved ROI.

Review and train sales team on submitting and/or inputting trade programs in Vividly.

Participate and help develop monthly share-outs of trade investment performance, latest estimates for financial plans, annual trade plans, as well as review promotion plan changes with key stakeholders.

Develop tools and conduct analyses to support Chomps' revenue growth strategy.

Aid with project work to improve effectiveness of trade promotion events.

Bring visibility, transparency, and analytical rigor to pricing and trade promotions.

Accept responsibility for the organizational goals by taking ownership of new and different duties and identifying new opportunities within the Business Analytics department.

Perform ad-hoc analyses on trade as needed or directed.

Who You Are

Bachelor’s degree and/or 1-3 years’ experience in sales, analytics, marketing, or related field preferred.

Strong analytical and communication skills.

Must use Excel at an advanced level; PowerBI experience a plus.

CPG experience preferred.

Experience using syndicated data/TPM systems preferred.

Working knowledge of Syndicated Data (SPINS, IRI, and/or Nielsen).

Ability to be entrepreneurial and methodical.

Results-oriented and process driven, with high expectations of self and team.

Collaborative mindset with strength in effectively receiving and communicating feedback.

This position requires critical and strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration, ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, and strong customer/channel knowledge.

Salary Range Opportunity:

The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $80,000 + 10% annual bonus.

Individual pay rate decisions are based on several factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.
