Senior Accountant

Vaco Orange County is a leading provider of accounting and finance consulting services. We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our client’s team in Anaheim, CA.

Job Responsibilities:

Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports

Performing monthly close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and allocations

Supporting the consolidation process for multiple entities and intercompany transactions

Prepare and assist in review of monthly balance sheet and income statement variance analysis

Maintaining and updating the general ledger and chart of accounts

Ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls

Assisting with audits, tax filings, and special projects as needed

Working with various accounting systems and software, such as SAGE 100, QuickBooks, Excel, etc.

Job Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required

At least 5 years of accounting experience

Big company experience and exposure to complex accounting issues

Knowledge of Sage 100, SQL, & SOX 404

CPA or CPA candidate is a plus

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards

Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work on temp-to-permanent basis
