Under the general supervision of the
Operative Room Support Manager , the Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for the overall analysis and enhancement of supply chain processes within the
Orthopaedic Institute Perioperative Department
and
Orthopaedic Institute clinics . The Supply Chain Analyst will use various quantitative methods and tap into all available techniques and resources to collect relevant data - including distribution data and procurement metrics, as well as information on productivity and customer demand - to prompt improvement in the performance and effectiveness of the department's daily operations. The Supply Chain Analyst must have excellent organizational skills and must be able to effectively prioritize and execute critical job functions with minimal supervision and a high degree of autonomy. Strong initiative, creativity, a knack for solving complex problems, and an ability to manage multiple ongoing and deadline-driven projects are essential.
The Supply Chain Analyst will assist with instrument and equipment repairs, obtaining quotes and purchase orders, and return goods authorizations. They will assist in inventory management, and annual inventory counts and will always work toward inventory reduction.
The Supply Chain Analyst will also work on a variety of ad hoc projects and initiatives as assigned, including inventory reductions, product recalls, product implementations, and other supply chain-centric tasks and assignments.Department Description
We're committed to providing customer service excellence to support patient care for our clinical teams in Post Anesthesia Care (PACU), Anesthesia, Ortho Clinics, and OR. Around-the-clock services provided by this dedicated team include:Inventory management of more than 1000 items in 5 par locations, 1 Suture Cart, 4 Implant Carts, and 1 Tissue Freezer.Par form scanning and online ordering of medical gases and specialty distribution items.Par-level management item additions, changes, deletions, and evaluations.Prime vendor management, product expediting, back order management, and substitute product sourcing.JIT 400 lines supply distribution.Daily FED EX/UPS 50-70 lines supply distribution.Implant carts and Core replenishment.Supply replenishment of 5000 line items to OR Rooms and sub-sterile locations.End of case redistribution of PRN supplies.Monthly expiration date checks and cleaning.Allograft Tissue entry and tracking using Trackcore.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain (Logistics) or equivalent related experience and training.3 or more years of experience in Supply Chain Operation or Logistics.Thorough knowledge of materials management policies, regulatory requirements, and safety regulations.Knowledge of equipment and supplies managed and ability to install, assess, and monitor.Strong communication skills; including active listening and critical thinking.Strong interpersonal skills. Actively cooperates and supports the work of others. Ability to work productively with staff across departments and of all levels including Nurses and Surgeons.Productive in work volume, speed, quality, and consistency. Ability to manage multiple priorities, track all supplies, and complete projects.Ability to perform all commonly applicable functions in the Microsoft Suite.Effectively uses the organization's automated materials management systems.Thorough knowledge of data management and documentation methods used in materials management.Preferred Qualifications
