Our client is a rapidly growing organization with locations across the countryThey are profitable, doubling in size every year and supported by a multi-billion dollar investor.They anticipate 100+ locations by the end of 2024!Join a dynamic organization in high growth-modeWhat you'll do, as Staff Accountant:Maintain policies and procedures to ensure business requirements are metAssist in monthly Sales and Use tax filings in over 15 statesMaintain schedules and trackers for various tax filings and licensesAssist in monthly close procedures including balance sheet and expense account reconciliationsAssist in financial statement preparation and generation of monthly reportingEvaluate financial transactions to ensure they comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)Assist other departments with accounting/financial ad hoc requestsAssist with the annual financial statement audit and income tax preparationPrepare reconciliations, journal entries, and ad hock requests and reports as neededDrive continuous process improvement and automation efforts to streamline accounting operations and improve the quality of monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, and internal controlsWhat we are looking for in a Staff Accountant:1-2 years' experience in accounting/taxBachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance requiredStrong work ethic and problem-solving skillsSolid experience with Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
