The Dual Director of Sales is responsible for overseeing the sales efforts across two hotel properties, ensuring business growth through creative selling strategies, lead generation, and relationship building. This role manages the sales team to achieve revenue goals, maintain occupancy rates, and enhance profitability, while collaborating closely with the operations teams to ensure guest satisfaction and brand standard compliance.Essential Functions and Duties:Work with sales teams at both properties to book group business through responding to leads, cold calling, and visiting local businesses.Manage workflow through Delphi or other CRM systems, ensuring proper data entry and filing in line with company standards.Participate in promotional events, trade shows, and community or industry events to generate business leads.Set sales strategies to meet property goals for both rate and occupancy.Collaborate with the Revenue Management and Operations teams to adjust pricing and selling strategies as needed.Review and analyze monthly STAR reports, creating action plans to improve sales performance.Develop and implement strategies to improve guest and associate satisfaction.Oversee associate performance, including hiring, training, and development of sales team members.Monitor service quality, guest satisfaction, and financial performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.Organize and prioritize tasks, ensuring timely follow-up and execution of sales strategies.Maintain high standards of personal appearance and professionalism.Required Experience, Education, and Skills:High school diploma or equivalent required; college-level sales or marketing classes or a business degree preferred.4 to 6 years of hands-on hotel sales experience, preferably overseeing sales efforts for multiple properties.Strong knowledge of sales and marketing strategies, including revenue management principles.Proficiency in CRM software, such as Delphi, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present information effectively to clients and team members.Ability to manage and develop a team, providing regular feedback and training to achieve performance goals.Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify operational gaps and implement solutions.Primarily indoor office work with frequent travel between two properties.Must be able to make sales calls 50% of the time, which may include visiting local businesses and attending trade shows or events.Frequent use of computers and office equipment, requiring extended periods of sitting.Ability to lift or carry items up to 10 lbs. occasionally.Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.Other Duties:
