We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our General Accounting team! This role is responsible for the day to day accounting activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly and year-end closes.

This is a hybrid role requiring 2 - 3 days/ week in our Westbury, NY office.

An employee in this position can expect an annual starting rate between $65,000 and $70,000, depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law.

WhatYouDo:

• Participate in the monthly and year-end accounting closes.

• Prepare monthly account reconciliations.

• Maintain internal financial records to Company standards (i.e. general ledgers, journal entries, etc.).

• Support store and other department inquiries related to P&L information.

• Participate in the annual budgeting process.

• Participate in internal and external audits.

• Handle special projects as assigned.

Knowledge&Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a strong GPA preferred.

• 2-4 years related accounting experience required, with a strong knowledge of commonly used accounting concepts, practices and procedures.

• Strong computer skills in a Windows environment, especially in Excel and Word, with knowledge of Oracle Financial Systems a plus.

• Must have the ability to handle multiple projects.

• Must be a team player with ability to prioritize.

• Must possess strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
