Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SAP Financials Technical Consultant to join our team supporting the Department of the Navy (DON) Financial Improvement Program (FIP) Navy ERP PMO. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in SAP Financials, a strong understanding of the Navy ERP system, and experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role requires an active Secret Clearance and is based in the Washington, D.C. area.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise in SAP Financials to support the Navy ERP PMO within the DON Financial Improvement Program (FIP).Collaborate with business analysts, functional consultants, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Design, develop, configure, test, and deploy SAP Financials solutions, ensuring they align with DON FIP program objectives.Perform system integration, data migration, and interface development for the Navy ERP system.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SAP Financials modules, providing support and guidance to end-users.Participate in system upgrades, patches, and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, configuration guides, and test plans.Ensure compliance with DoD, Navy, and SAP security standards and policies.Work closely with the program management team to provide status updates, identify risks, and recommend solutions.Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for process optimization and automation.Requirements
Clearance : Active Secret Clearance is required.Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.Minimum of 3 years of experience as an SAP Technical Consultant, with a focus on SAP Financials (FI/CO).Experience supporting Navy ERP or other DoD ERP systems is highly desirable.Proven experience in SAP system configuration, customization, integration, and deployment.Strong understanding of financial business processes, particularly in a government or defense setting.Experience with ABAP programming, SAP Fiori, S/4HANA, and other SAP technologies is a plus.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.Knowledge of SAP security, GRC, and DoD compliance requirements.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration and implementation.SAP certification(s) in Financials, ABAP, or related areas.Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools.
