The ideal candidate will be a USPTO registered Patent Agent with a robust background in Life Sciences patent prosecution. This role requires excellent writing abilities, a strong understanding of molecular biology, and a detail-oriented approach to managing patent applications.Duties and Responsibilities

Draft and prosecute patent applications related to Life Sciences, including molecular biology, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals.Conduct prior art searches and analyze the patentability of inventions.Prepare and file responses to office actions, including amendments and arguments.Collaborate with clients to understand their inventions and provide strategic patent advice.Review and interpret scientific literature and patent documents to support patent applications.Manage and maintain patent portfolios, ensuring timely renewals and compliance with USPTO regulations.Provide technical and legal guidance on patent matters to clients and internal teams.Stay updated on industry trends and changes in patent law affecting the Life Sciences sector.Requirements

USPTO registration as a Patent Agent.At least 3 years of direct patent prosecution experience in the Life Sciences field.Advanced degree in Life Sciences (e.g., Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or related field) or equivalent experience.Proven expertise in molecular biology is highly desirable.Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise patent documents.High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in technical writing and drafting complex legal documents.Experience with patent portfolio management and strategy.Education

Advanced degree in a relevant Life Sciences field or equivalent experience.Certifications

USPTO registration as a Patent Agent.Skills
