The ideal candidate will be a USPTO registered Patent Agent with a strong background in life sciences patent prosecution. This role demands a high level of technical writing proficiency, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.Duties and Responsibilities:Conduct patent prosecution for life sciences-related inventions, including drafting, filing, and managing patent applications.Review and analyze patent portfolios to provide strategic advice and support.Conduct prior art searches and prepare detailed patentability opinions.Collaborate with inventors, legal teams, and clients to gather necessary information and ensure effective patent protection.Prepare responses to Office Actions and other correspondence from the USPTO.Stay updated on current developments and trends in life sciences and patent law.Assist in litigation support and other intellectual property matters as needed.Requirements:USPTO registration as a Patent Agent is required.Minimum of 3 years of direct patent prosecution experience in life sciences.Advanced degree in a life sciences field (e.g., molecular biology, biochemistry) or equivalent experience.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.Technical writing proficiency is preferred.Education:Advanced degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related life sciences field is preferred.Skills:Expertise in life sciences patent prosecution.Strong technical writing and analytical skills.Proficiency in patent application preparation and management.Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
