PATH is seeking candidates passionate about helping others make a positive change in their lives to join our Human Resources Team as the Benefits Manager working out of our main office on Madison Avenue in Los Angeles.

ABOUT PATHSince its foundation in 1984, PATH (People Assisting the Homeless) has pioneered bold and effective approaches to assist people experiencing homelessness. PATH operates services throughout California, connecting our clients to a comprehensive continuum of homelessness prevention, street outreach, employment preparation and placement assistance, individualized case management, supportive services, interim housing, and permanent supportive housing.

ABOUT OUR HUMAN RESOURCES TEAMPATH's Human Resources Team is comprised of multiple divisions within HR, such as Payroll, Employee Relations, Staffing and Recruitment, Compensation, Leave of Absence, and Benefits. ABOUT THE BENEFITS MANAGERThe Benefits Manager serves as team lead and subject matter expert for the Benefits functional area of HR. In order to achieve the organization's mission of ending homelessness for individuals, families, and communities, the Benefits Manager fulfills a critical role by being the subject matter expert in all areas of benefits and by ensuring that all systems and procedures flow properly in order to serve more than 950 staff across three different nonprofit agencies.

Position Responsibilities:

Oversee Benefits Administration system, which includes partnering with HRIS provider to troubleshoot issues, set up new plans and to conduct routine system audits to ensure accuracy of information.

Work with providers and carrier connection to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all EDI feeds. Set up new feeds, when needed.

Oversees workload of and provides training to members of the Benefits team; assists in resolving complex issues.

Ensures timely completion of monthly audits & reconciliations; reports reconciliation activities to HR Director.

Provides recommendations for new and/or revised policies & procedures.

Collaborates with LOA team to oversee benefits premium collection for employees on LOA/WC.

Perform quarterly FSA audit to ensure accuracy and oversee TPA to ensure deliverables are being met.

Oversee the review of 403b enrollments, deferrals, loan requests and distribution requests. Works with TPA to resolve issues.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSThe following education and professional experience is preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSTo be considered for this position, we require all candidates:

5+ years of experience in Human Resources with at least 3 years focused in Benefits.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTSRegardless of qualifications, candidates must:
