Reporting to the Manager of WW Logistics NPI, the WWL New Product Introduction (NPI) Program Manager is responsible for working cross-functionally on program managing logistics readiness, compliance, packaging, pallet builds, product weights, and dimensions. This position requires excellent analytical abilities, executive presence, leadership skills, and the ability to influence change in a cross-cultural environment. The candidate will be responsible for managing cross-functional and cross-organizational teams in the planning and execution of new product launches while ensuring complete confidentiality.DescriptionWW Logistics NPI Program Managers are responsible for seeking out logistic efficiencies by collaborating with Packaging Engineers in new product packaging and palletization, logistics cost modeling, and ensuring flawless launch execution. This team works closely with extended domestic and international operations teams, packaging engineering, AppleCare teams, Supply & Demand Planning, OEMs, and other teams to ensure readiness for launch. The WW Logistics NPI Program Manager will organize and lead in new product readiness and sustaining supply chain product support.Minimum QualificationsMBA or BS/BA degree with professional experienceAnalyze, develop and coordinate Logistics Optimized new product packaging characteristics including single shippers, case packs, cluster packs, and palletization, in collaboration with the Packaging Engineering Team.Coordination of OEM and regional logistics readiness ensuring a secure new product launch.Worldwide communication of assigned responsibilities during weekly readiness meetings.Seek out and evaluate potential operational risks and risk mitigation.Prepare and validate financial models for NPI and sustaining logistics costing.Ad-hoc Logistics costing modeling and supply chain analysis for internal customers.Publish and manage pallet build specifications for all New products to the OEMs.Supply chain optimization and program management for New Products.Continuous Innovation on improving Logistics Readiness Processes.Work with regional teams to resolve operational issues, gaps in processes, and escalations for New Product.Work closely with various functions within and outside of logistics for supporting Operations for New Product - Freight Planning, Supply Demand Management, Logistics Security, Trade Compliance, etc.Key QualificationsPreferred QualificationsLogistics, Packaging Engineering, Product Operations, Industrial Engineering, and/or supply chain experience is a plus but not absolutely necessary if the candidate meets most qualifications.Quick learner, comfortable working with ambiguity and continuous fast-changing environment.Self-motivated, driven individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Project Management and Supply Chain certifications are a plus.Detail-oriented and ability to quickly pick up and lead programs/processes.Ability to work outside comfort area and quickly establish relationships.Strong process knowledge, expense controls, and analytical skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong presentation preparation and delivery skills.Strong analytical and Excel/Numbers skills.Education & ExperienceAdditional RequirementsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $133,900 and $201,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
