Overview:

The Vice President of Belonging at Novant Health will be a key leader in advancing the organization’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). This role will provide strategic leadership for the Business Resource Groups (BRGs) and work in close collaboration with the Health Equity team to integrate inclusive principles into all aspects of the organization, particularly in addressing social determinants of health. The VP of Belonging will play a pivotal role in shaping a culture where every team member feels valued, supported, and empowered to contribute to Novant Health’s mission and vision.

Qualifications:

Education:

4 year/ Bachelor’s Degree, required. HR, Psychology, Organizational Development or Similar.

Experience:

6+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in a multi-entity organization, required. 2 years Healthcare experience preferred.

Demonstrated ability to attract, retain, and develop diverse talent through innovative strategies and initiatives.

Strong sense of urgency, initiative, and leadership in driving DEI efforts across cross-functional teams.

Customer Service and Physician/stakeholder partnerships – Creates a culture and systems that incorporate customer service as a key strategy; acts with the customer in mind; sets high standards for service delivery; develops collaborative and cooperative partnerships with physicians and stakeholders in achieving mission and strategic goals; engenders loyalty; leverages the strengths of business partnerships to create value in the company and in the community.

Financial Management - Establishes appropriate annual and longer-term financial objectives and manages consistently to achieve these goals; ensures that appropriate systems are maintained to protect assets and maintain effective control of operations (including staff and patient safety).
