Our client in Buffalo, New York is seeking a Director of Human Resources for their growing firm. This is a newly created role. Overseeing the HR function, the Director of Human Resources is a strategic partner to leadership and will focus on developing and implementing HR programs, policies, and strategies to align with the firm's goals, vision, and growth. Partnerships, collaboration, and an emphasis on their employees, our client offers competitive salary, generous paid time off, benefits, 401K contributions, and professional development and employee team-building events.ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYReporting to the senior leadership team, the Human Resources Director is a strategic partner who focuses on developing and implementing HR programs and policies that align with the firm's goals to drive growth. Overseeing employee engagement, recruitment, training and development, payroll and benefits, employee relations, and overall people operations from a high-level strategic viewpoint, the Human Resources Director will streamline practices in all areas of the HR portfolio. People operations is a large part of this role, focusing on continued improvement of the employee experience program, driving new opportunities for professional development, and overall contributing to a positive work environment. This is an incredible HR Director role that will yield future opportunities to contribute to engaging projects, professional development, and leadership opportunities for the right HR professional.ABOUT THE POSITIONActs as a strategic partner to senior leadership and focuses on developing and implementing programs, policies, and strategies that align with firm goals and vision.Oversees all areas of the HR portfolio including employee onboarding, payroll and benefits administration, training and development, employee engagement, talent acquisition, and overall operations from a high-level viewpoint.Leads compensation analysis and job design.Conducts competitive analysis and industry trends analysis, ensuring the firm remains a leader in the market for employee engagement, retention, and attraction.Focuses on process improvement and operational effectiveness of all HR programs and policies.Supports HR team members with onboarding and talent acquisition efforts.Prepares HR reporting and presentations for senior leadership.Leads special projects.Advises the leadership team on all HR matters, providing insights and recommendations.Regularly reviews and updates the firm's benefits offerings to remain competitive.Supports employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.Responsible for employee files and HRIS integrity.THE REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.Master’s degree is preferred.HR certification; SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or HRCI.7+ years of experience in a Senior HR leadership role.Professional services industry experience is required.Proven ability to develop and implement HR policies, programs, and best practices.Commitment to employee wellness, engagement, and overall improvement of employee programs and services.Excellent communication skills.Strong knowledge of HR best practices.Prior hands-on experience with talent acquisition, benefits administration, and all areas of the HR portfolio.Proven ability to lead a team, build relationships, and establish trust, providing strong advice and guidance to leadership and acting as a trusted leadership partner.Prior experience aligning operational processes that drive growth and success.COMPENSATIONAnnual salary ranges from $90,000 - $130,000 depending on experience.
