Job Summary:

As the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will be responsible for overseeing our company's ongoing operations and procedures. You will work closely with the CEO to set strategic goals and ensure the company's operational activities align with our objectives.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for overall management of CC operation including on-site and off-site, and supervises all employees to ensure the parts are delivered to customers; communicates with outside vendors on problem issues and concerns.

Manages a team of team leaders, supervisors, Assistant Managers, manager, and HOD to direct the team members of 700 or more personnel; strong leadership skills, interpersonal skills, and a bias for action will be required; management by observation; strong floor presence with Team Leaders, identifying issues, removing roadblocks and following up on problems and communicating with Management and Customer; execution of the strategies and plans outlined by CEO.

Champion of SOPs and the continuous improvement process. A key driver in Glovis ability to exceed expectations and reach our measurable goals will be the consistency and precision by which our team members follow the SOPs:

Maintain the best condition of the parts to be fed to line.

Control the safety of operation and minimize incidents.

Improve the FIFO (first in first out) situation, to minimize overflow in the line side and storage.

Create and execute the Improvement Ideas for better operation.

Manage New vehicle Operations and events (VIP tour, 5S, etc.).

Create a culture of Safety by maintaining the company’s safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal OSHA rules and regulations.

Maintain trust with internal and external customers, resolving tough issues well through negotiation, managing customer key-man.

“Right Part, Right Place, Right Time”. Provide leadership and support of company metrics, root cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous improvement. Delivery of financial goals: Work within labor budgets for regular and overtime hours; loss due to accidents, material damage, workman’s compensation. Claim minimization: downtime, OS&D, inventory discrepancy, vehicle damage, incidents, etc.

Required Experience:

Minimum of fifteen years (15) of supervisory or management experience (required); automotive business or related industry experiences (preferred); Bachelor's Degree and above.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal; strong in MS Excel; familiarity with SAP, ERP, and WMS required.

Detail oriented; ability to communicate effectively with management and outside vendors; strong knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing process and warehouse management operations; excellent written and verbal communications skills; knowledge and understanding of business management principles; ability to identify problems and provide solutions in a timely and efficient manner; ability to make decisions and resolve issues quickly.

Pay Range:

$170,000-$190,000

Car Allowance:

An allowance will be given to the candidate to participate in Glovis Alabama's car lease program.

Cell Phone Allowance:

Candidate will be given an allowance, or provided a company phone for business purposes.

Relocation Reimbursement:

A candidate relocating that lives within the state of Alabama will receive relocation reimbursement in the amount of $5,000. A candidate relocating from outside the state of Alabama will receive a reimbursement amount of $10,000.

Incentive:

Yearly incentive given based on candidate's individual KPI results.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $170,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
