A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an Associate Litigation Attorney to join a team of top-tier employment litigators. This role involves assisting in all aspects of the litigation practice, including taking and defending depositions, handling motion practice, and participating in trials. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of civil litigation experience and a working knowledge of California employment law. Candidates must be licensed members of the California State Bar in good standing.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist in managing and litigating employment law cases, including preparation and execution of legal strategies.Take and defend depositions, prepare for and conduct motion practice, and participate in trial proceedings.Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy.Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to develop case strategies and handle complex legal issues.Maintain accurate and organized case files and ensure compliance with procedural deadlines.Provide clients with legal advice and updates on case progress.Requirements1-2 years of experience in civil litigation, preferably with a focus on employment law.Must be a licensed member of the California State Bar in good standing.Working knowledge of California employment law is required.Strong research and analytical skills.Proven ability to handle depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.EducationJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.CertificationsActive California State Bar license in good standing is required.SkillsProficiency in civil litigation procedures and employment law.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Familiarity with legal research tools and case management software.
