As the COMSEC Service Authority with the Network and Telecommunications Services (NaTS) Service Line in the Office of the Chief Information Officer, you will provide management oversight of the NASA COMSEC Central Office of Record (COR) and all NASA-assigned COMSEC accounts. You will establish new accounts and appointments of COMSEC account managers (CAMs) and alternate CAMs. You will establish procedures for the implementation of national-level COMSEC policies. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level:Defining NASA requirements for protecting cryptographic materials while providing direction and oversight regarding COMSEC to NASA missions implementing these requirements;Reviewing and assessing Executive Orders, national policies, agency directives, and/or legislation to aid NASA COMSEC;Conducting data calls to NASA centers for COMSEC holdings and providing reports and assessments on COMSEC operations, management, requirements, and compliance.
