The job description for a Business Analyst with Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS) experience: Prior experience as a Product Owner/Business Analyst. Ability to multitask and switch focus quickly. Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall SDLC methodologies. Proficient in Microsoft Excel for complex calculations. Basic knowledge in MS SQL server, with the ability to query using SQL. Participate in meetings with clients, operations, developers, and testers to expand applications and formulate new requirements in project life cycle. Create clear requirements/user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria. Be the voice of the assigned Product / project. Oversee QA and provide direction and guidance during testing. Review project requirements and incident tickets. Conduct demos for end clients. Prepare Product demo deck and give product demo to Internal and external stakeholders. Create training materials. Knowledge transfer to new Client/POs. Create and review functional and non-functional requirements to guide the development team. Create and review process flows, epics, use cases and user stories to visualize the business processes and solutions. Write and review user stories and acceptance criteria and discuss with Ops /tech in requirement grooming and refinement sessions, have agreement with client on functional user stories. Participate in TCs review and provide final signoff for test coverage. Participate in discussion with UI/UX designer to create mockup screens. Implement best practice for requirement - Epic (capture high level requirements) for the reviewed and sign off. Conduct impact analysis for changes in product requirements (maintain log for scope changes) and assess their implications on timelines and resources along with PMs. Participate in required internal and external daily /weekly project meetings. Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the development team to ensure alignment on product goals and deliverables. Continuously evaluate the product's progress, ensuring that each code drop delivers value and meets the client's requirements. Quality project artifacts delivery - discuss and review project documentation before going to Ops /clients user manuals. Participate in all defect triage discussions, categorization of defects to correct root cause, prepare RCA report and discuss with tech teams to resolve for future releases. Assess current business operations and processes and recommend enhancements or upgrades to systems supporting these. Provide support to applications in production, troubleshooting issues as they arise. Serve as a liaison between clients and developers, translating requirements into operational software. Work directly with operations and serve as a subject matter expert for onboarding solutions. Create a plan and baseline to increase Product quality and measure on the weekly basis (business scenario validation before code moves into UAT, reduce higher environment defects, increase test coverage by giving inputs to QA while doing TC review and signoff).Requirements: Experience in the housing /Mortgage based security (MBS) or finance industry is a must. Knowledge of core banking apps, issuance, processing, analysis and transfers is desired. Bachelor's or higher degree in a relevant field. Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience.Additional: Duration: 6-month contract Hybrid: 3 days onsite required weekly in Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL Rate Range: $50-60/hr. W2 (based on experience)
