We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining the integrity of our financial systems.

Staff Accountant responsibilities include keeping financial records updated, preparing reports and reconciling balance sheet accounts, credit card and bank statements. You will be working in the Microsoft 365 Business Central ERP system, to enter and process business transactions, including but not limited to accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts. A successful Staff Accountant must be familiar with all accounting procedures and US GAAP, with accuracy being a top priority.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide accounting and clerical support to the finance department.Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records with the utmost accuracy.Prepare general ledger postings and statements.Reconcile accounts in an accurate and timely manner.Enter data of financial transactions into the ERP system on a daily basis to ensure timelines and due dates are met (i.e. A/R invoices, A/P invoices, expense reports, etc.).Reconcile balance sheet accounts, bank statements and credit card statements ensuring that variances are identified, resolved and supported.Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for budget/actual discrepancies.Assist in month end and year end closing processes.Assist in researching, tracking, and restoring accounting documentation problems and discrepancies.Support the annual audit process by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws.Provide assistance and support as requested by the Global Controller.Constantly update job knowledge.Required skills and qualifications

Knowledge of financial and accounting principlesKnowledge of US GAAPIntermediate or better Excel skillsAdvanced math skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailProficiency with office productivity applications and aptitude for learning new systems.Preferred skills and qualifications

Minimum associate degree in finance or accountingTwo to three years of experience in clerical accountingExperience with Microsoft suite of products (Excel, Word)Microsoft 365 Business Central experience a plus
