The Ohio Attorney General's Office is seeking to fill multiple Assistant Attorney General openings in our Workers' Compensation Section, in the headquarter locations of Columbus, Cleveland and Cincinnati.The ideal candidates will preferably have two (2) years of Workers’ Compensation experience, two (2) years or more of litigation experience, and/or appellate experience, to be able to represent the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and the Industrial Commission of Ohio in common pleas and/or the appellate courts and the Ohio Supreme Court. A candidate applying for this position should be able to manage a high-volume caseload. Typical duties for this position include:case managementsettlement evaluations and negotiationsmotion practicediscovery (written and depositions)trial and appellate court appearancesoccasionally administrative hearingsSomeone skilled in writing appellate briefs and/or oral advocacy is beneficial to this position. These positions will work a hybrid in-person/remote schedule.
