ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER - CON PANE - POINT LOMA LIBERTY STATION
COHN RESTAURANT GROUP is seeking a customer service oriented, experienced, energetic, team leader to join CON PANE RUSTIC BREADS & CAFE’s management team. The assistant general manager is responsible for exceptional customer service, exceptional food and efficient front of the house operations.
Responsibilities Include:
Lead by example to establish a culture of great customer service and quality food.
Staff cafe with quality assistant managers and employees who are committed to superior customer service and high standards of performance.
Provide staff training, supervision, performance evaluations and discipline.
Manage, coach and motivate all employees with constant positive communication.
Drive profitability and employee productivity by preparing staff schedules per business demands and by managing breaks, positions and work assignments effectively.
Ensure proper procedures and guidelines are in place and practice and promote compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety and sanitation standards.
Ensure all menu items meet high quality, consistency and presentation standards.
Ensure café meets high cleanliness, display and opening and closing standards.
FOH Inventory ordering, receiving, organization and management.
Complete necessary operational paperwork and reports.
Oversee POS system operation and functionality.
Requirements Include:
Minimum 5 years management experience in a fast-paced casual food service environment with responsibilities of hiring, training, managing and disciplining staff.
Sandwich/Deli/Cafe, Coffee House, Counter Service experience a strong plus.
Strong leadership and team building skills with the ability to drive staff productivity.
Embody our company philosophy and management principles.
Ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize, delegate and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and high standards for customer service, product quality and presentation and operational efficiency.
Able to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, staff and management.
Must have open availability, including weekends and holidays, and the flexibility to adjust work days and/or hours as needed within a 45-50 hour work week.
Must possess good physical stamina with ability to walk/stand on your feet for an 8 - 10 hour day, bend, reach and lift up to 25 pounds.
