Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant General Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the General Manager in the day-to-day operations of our iconic restaurant and will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining high-quality food and drinks, and promoting a positive and productive work environment. The Assistant General Manager will be expected to oversee kitchen management, supervise staff, and contribute to budgeting and inventory management.

Responsibilities

Assist the General Manager in implementing restaurant strategies and policies

Oversee kitchen operations and ensure food quality and presentation meet the highest standards

Manage and supervise kitchen staff, including training and mentoring new hires

Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve staff performance

Interview and hire new staff members, ensuring they align with the restaurant's values and culture

Develop and maintain relationships with local vendors and suppliers

Manage inventory and order supplies as needed

Collaborate with the General Manager to create and manage budgets

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food regulations

Utilize Aloha POS to manage restaurant operations and monitor sales data

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, dining area, and outdoor spaces

Provide exceptional customer service and handle customer complaints

Work closely with the General Manager to identify and address any issues or concerns

Skills

Experience in the food industry, preferably in a casual dining setting

Strong culinary skills and knowledge of kitchen management

Proven supervising and staff training experience

Excellent interviewing skills

Ability to manage budgets and inventory

Familiarity with Aloha POS

High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree preferred

Excellent communication and leadership skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
