We are seeking a motivated Community Outreach Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to manage community outreach efforts, and experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment. This full-time position will be in our project office in Riverdale, MD.Essential FunctionAssist with development and implementation of the Public Outreach Communications PlanSupport development of communications materialsAssist with public meetings to support addressing concerns and documentationDraft emails or meeting recaps to elected and other officials for the Director to review and sendAttend communication meetings with external stakeholders and assist as necessaryAttend construction meetings to provide input from outreachReview QC work done by the Community LiasionsCoordinate logistics for external project meetings, as needed
Required Skills and ExperienceBachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or related training preferredExperience in a similar role or industry preferred, but not requiredStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsMeticulous attention to detailProficiency in relevant software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office, database management)Ability to work both independently and within a teamWillingness to learn and take on new responsibilitiesCommitment to upholding company values and project standards
