The PowerFlex Project Coordinator will assist in planning, managing, and coordinating all aspects of multiple solar, BESS, and EVSE energy projects from contract through completion. The responsibilities include managing townships, permitting, resource management, construction management, processing of subcontracts, and project closeout documentation. The Project Coordinator assists with communication of various parties (e.g., subcontractors, vendors, internal team members, etc.) throughout the entire project.

LocationThis role is open to be a hybrid role out of one of our offices (Los Angeles, CA or San Diego, CA). We will only be able to consider applicants that are local to one of these areas and can come into the office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities40% - General Strategic OperationsEvaluating and finding solutions to potential problems during project implementationPlanning and managing team goals, project schedules, and new informationCoordinating team members to keep workflow on trackManaging project-related paperwork and materialsPreparing and reviewing project proposalsManaging memos, meeting minutes, and correspondenceApplying for ministerial permits and liaising with the townships for permit approvalsPreparing meeting presentations for large portfolio and non-portfolio clientsAssisting Project Managers with purchase orders and budget-related itemsAssisting with preparing bid packages and subcontractingInterfacing with vendors and other related third partiesProviding feedback to improve company protocols, installation practices, and company growthBreaking down a project into timed phases with deadlinesIdentifying and finding solutions to potential project setbacksDecision-making for procurement, sub-contracts, and risk management30% - Field SupportAssisting with Field Operations ManagementAssisting with third-party on-site inspectionsProviding desk and in-field support to Project Managers and other Execution team membersQualificationsEducation/ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Sustainability/Renewable Energy, Business Management, or relevant experience in either commercial or residential solar, BESS, or EVSESkills/Knowledge/AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent problem-solving, team development, and critical thinking skillsHigh level of integrity with strong emphasis on making and meeting commitmentsHigh sense of urgency with excellent organizational skills and drive to meet deadlinesStrong interest in construction and renewable energy installationsComputer Skills: Microsoft Office applications. This position is eligible for PowerFlex's comprehensive Health and Welfare plans including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, 401(k) retirement plan, and paid time off. The total compensation for this position may include an annual performance bonus (or other incentive compensation, as applicable). PowerFlex's compensation packages carefully consider a candidate's qualifications, experiences, and education in relation to the position.

Physical Requirements

Remaining in a seated position. Long hours on computer keyboard. Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment.Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 50 pounds regularly

Working ConditionsApproximately 85% of the time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Adobe, etc.), telephones, and general office equipment.
