This is a hybrid role.Role DescriptionThe Claims Associate is responsible for handling claims from inception to closure in accordance with the Company’s and the Industry’s best claims practices.Responsibilities:The Claims Associate will be responsible for providing technical claim handling, including adept recognition of exposure, reserve adjustment, identification and resolution of coverage issues, and overall loss mitigation.The Claims Associate handles all claims in a proactive manner by devising and executing an effective claim handling strategy.The Claims Associate prepares prompt, thorough, timely, and articulate reports and records.The Claims Associate adheres to the Company’s technical and administrative standards/guidelines and remains current on industry standards/guidelines and legal decisions that impact claim handling and exposures.The Claims Associate is expected to travel as necessary and as required by the Company.Role Qualifications and ExperienceA minimum of 5 years’ experience in insurance technical claim handling of lost time / indemnity / permanent disability workers’ compensation claims; multiple jurisdictions, carrier background preferred.Fluent in common medical terminology and complex medical conditions required.Versed in workers compensation litigation processes.Versed in full and final claim settlement, including MSA and related processes.Undergraduate college degree.Demonstrates competence in:Verbal and written communications;Time management;Claims judgement;Business acumen;Organizational skills;Interpersonal skills;Analytical skills.Industry designations/course work a plus.Prior experience in handling Excess Insurance for Self-Insurer of Workers Compensation claims a plus.Salary Range63,000.00 - 106,000.00 USDThe annual base salary range posted represents a broad range of salaries around the US and is subject to many factors including but not limited to credentials, education, experience, geographic location, job responsibilities, performance, skills and/or training.Our Address120 Long Ridge RoadStamford, CT 06902 (US)At
