The pay range for this position In Western Washington varies between $81,900.00 – $116,550.00, and for Eastern Washington varies between $67,470.00 - $96,015.00. Washington Dental Service and its affiliates, including Arcora Foundation, Delta Dental of Washington, and TriForza intends to offer the selected candidate a base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay will also be adjusted based on the candidate's geographic location.

Essential Responsibilities include the following:

Plan, carry, and share the findings of IT internal audits, risk assessment and assurance reviews. This involves assessing the effectiveness of IT general, application, and security controls to ensure they align with control design requirements, comply with Company policies and procedures, and offer potential for process enhancement.

Conduct risk and security assessment reviews of systems under development as well as major IT projects and initiatives.

Apply knowledge of current technology environments and industry IT trends to identify potential risks and issues.

Work with management to develop pragmatic solutions to address issues or gaps identified and actively follow-up on open audit issues to confirm the implementation of risk remediation activities.

Complete assigned audits in accordance with departmental procedures and IIA Global Audit Standards.

Contribute to various internal team and company initiatives and actively participate in professional audit and IT governance organizations.

Experience, skills, and education you need to have to succeed in the position:

At least six years of experience in internal audit and/or IT operations.

Certification (or plan to acquire within 12 months) as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and/or specific to the information technology industry such as a Certified Information Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Network Engineer (CNE), or Certified Security Professional (CSE).

Solid understanding of external risk assurance frameworks (i.e., NIST, HITRUST, ISO 27001, COBIT, PCI DSS) and audit standards (e.g., SOC 1 & 2, Model Audit Rule).

Strong understanding or working knowledge of information systems audit concepts, including cybersecurity, network design and security, IT operations, change management, and disaster recovery practices.

Ability to effectively deal with ambiguity and offer practical, creative solutions to risk management challenges.

Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to convey complex information to a broad audience.

Healthcare or benefit plan industry experience.
