Accounting Technician 2

located in Juneau, Alaska.What You Will Be Doing:This position provides day-to-day oversight and support so that Adoption & Guardianship provider records are up to date, subsidy agreements meet federal and state regulations, and that providers are paid in a timely and accurate manner. Support other foster care, unlicensed relative, and private provider processes and be a resource for the field workers and care providers to ensure that payment regulations and departmental policy are properly enacted in making payments. Strong working knowledge of The Office of Children's Services Mission combined with the Online Resources for the Children of Alaska (ORCA) system and of the state accounting (IRIS) system are required in order to independently audit, reconcile and accurately record transactions.

Minimum Requirements:One year of entry technical level accounting or clerical bookkeeping experience.Substitutions:Certification as an Accounting Technician from an accredited college will substitute for the required experience.Post secondary education from an accredited college will substitute for the required experience (3 semester/4 quarter hours equal one month) if it includes at least 6 semester/8 quarter hours in Accounting.At time of interview applicant is requested to submit:
