Prescott Valley Kids Director

Position Purpose / Overview:

Heights Kids exists to see kids encounter Jesus, engage in their faith with Jesus, and empower them to serve Jesus. The Prescott Valley Kids Coordinator leads all facets of the Kids Ministry at the Prescott Valley (PV) Location. This position reports to the Prescott Valley Location Pastor, with oversight from the Next Gen Pastor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Be a Team Player

Next Gen Team

Attend and actively participate in Next Gen team bi-weekly meetings.

Have a servant’s heart to help within the Next Gen team as needed.

Kids Team

Attend and actively participate in the weekly Kids Team meetings.

Function as a team member who cares for their team and seeks to help where needed.

Collaborate with the Kids team in planning and coordinating special events.

Provide clear and regular communication to ministry leadership, staff, serve team members, and parents/families.

Mission & Vision Minded

Strive to function within the mission of Heights Church.

Work in alignment with the mission and vision of Heights Kids.

Be outreach-focused and equip kids to live out the mission and reach their world for Christ.

PV Kids Serve Team

Recruit, develop, train, equip, schedule, and oversee all PV Kids serve team.

Communicate well, provide relational/spiritual care, encourage, and lead all PV Kids serve team.

Impart mission and vision to the serve team.

Parents

Care for, love, and pour into parents/guardians and kids at the PV Location.

Communicate to parents often.

PV Kids Ministry

Oversee and execute all aspects, including administrative tasks, of the mid-week and weekend PV kids’ services.

Work with the kids’ team and serve team “prep team” to obtain and maintain curriculum materials and classroom supplies.

Understand the Orange curriculum and how it is implemented in Kids Ministry at Heights Church.

Oversee the check-in process for events and/or services.

Lead the kids of PV in services opportunities in coordination with our Local and Global ministry.

Work together with the Kid’s Pastor in ordering supplies and curriculum for use within all areas of PV Kids Ministry.

Oversee and manage first-time guest hospitality, tracking, and follow-up.

Maintain and manage church database(s) of PV kids, serve team, and parents.

Professionalism

Respond to emails, calls, voicemails, texts, slack messages, etc.

Proofread emails, show up on time, respect those you work with.

Strong experience in database and scheduling.
