DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for all aspects of human resources, employee relations, collaboration with the recruiting team, in addition to understanding and support of union labor relations. Possess the ability to effectively conduct training at all levels of the organization. Partners with the operations departments and legal to ensure all employment-based policies are following all federal, state, and local regulations while achieving company objectives. Heavy focus on attracting & retaining top talent in a fast-paced environment.

Possess the ability to effectively manage and communicate with employees at all levels.

Oversee, manage and develop HR managers, recruiting team, and administrative staff in assigned areas.

Collaborate with operational leaders to achieve business objectives and ensure alignment with all employment and HR strategies and requirements.

Enforce and maintain all employment-related policies while partnering with legal to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local ordinances.

Coordinate with legal counsel on employment-related legal matters.

Oversee the recruiting team to manage hiring, recruiting, and retention policies and practices to achieve optimal results while ensuring a positive candidate/employee experience.

Partner in union labor relations negotiation strategies and relationships to ensure labor peace while achieving the company's business objectives.

Foster positive employee relations and ensure all employee complaints are objectively and timely investigated according to company policy and compliance requirements.

Partner with operational leadership and provide guidance and counsel to support and achieve company and business goals.

Execute the responsibilities of a company director according to lawful and ethical standards, as referenced in the Company's Code of Conduct and Business statements.

Foster a one-team approach to the HR team across the organization.

Train and guide all HR Managers through location investigations while working with legal to ensure desired outcomes.

Maintain confidentiality and integrity at a high level.

Attend continuing education or employment and management-related seminars or webinars to maintain expertise.

Maintain an open-door approach to management.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology or a related field.

Ten (10) years or higher human resource management experience with an employee base in excess of 3,000.

Union labor relations and Collective Bargaining knowledge is strongly preferred.

Minimum of five (5) years progressive experience managing a team of HR professionals.

Highly developed diplomacy skills proven to facilitate collaboration across the organization with both internal and external customers.

Expert knowledge of FMLA, ADA, EEOC and other applicable employment laws.

Possesses expert level communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.

Ability to handle and safeguard highly sensitive and confidential information.

Superior organizational and time management skills.
