The Director of Aftermarket Sales provides customer sales and service support for a defined geographic region. This position is responsible for supporting and maintaining relationships with existing customers to cultivate close relationships for retention, renewal, and referral opportunities. The Director of Aftermarket Sales is responsible for monitoring and increasing sales volume and building profit for the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction within the sales team to drive customer loyalty through excellent sales service

Implement sales processes and tools to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness within the sales team

Attend industry events, conferences, and seminars to network and stay abreast of industry trends and best practices

Develop and maintain relationships with key customer positions such as Parts Managers, Service Managers and Executives

Promote current product line, introduce new product lines and assist with the promotional or service programs to customer base

Assist regional customers in making sales calls with distributors and fleets in their region

Provide guidance for service, warranty, new product

Conduct local/national/regional trade shows to promote product and provide guidance for potential new distributors

Help develop the brand through the representation of products, programs, capabilities, and partnerships

Completion of sales reports such as forecasts, territory business plans, prospect forecasting, and other reports as needed

Execution of sales strategies to achieve account sales targets and expand the customer base

Manage customer contract negotiations and close agreements to maximize profits

Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and key areas for growth

Lead and motivate a team of sales professionals to consistently meet and exceed sales goals

Provide ongoing training to sales staff to ensure product knowledge and sales techniques are up to date

Collaborate with marketing to effectively promote our products and services

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Highly motivated

Experience in achieving sales goals

Strategic thinker

Good computer skills

Extensive knowledge of the commercial highway vehicle market

Significant sales experience

Proven track record of successfully managing a sales team

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field

6-10 years sales experience

Experience in heavy truck and brake-related components preferred

SUPERVISORY ROLE

This position has 1-3 direct reports.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50lbs at a time.

Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms

Occasionally stoop, kneel, bend, or twist

Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear

Travel will be required, and frequency will be based on key business needs
