Vice President of Operations

to join a growing executive team in logistics. The VP of Operations will oversee all aspects of transportation, logistics, and fleet management, ensuring the efficient, cost-effective, and safe delivery of services. This leadership role is critical in driving operational excellence, contributing to the company’s growth, profitability, and long-term success.Key Responsibilities:Operational Leadership

Optimize transportation, fleet management, and logistics strategies.Ensure timely, efficient delivery of goods and services.Drive process improvements, cost reductions, and service quality.Align operations with company objectives.Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team.Set performance goals and conduct evaluations.Collaborate with HR to recruit and retain top talent.Manage fleet maintenance, safety, and regulatory compliance.Maximize fuel efficiency, vehicle utilization, and performance.Safety and Compliance

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.Develop and enforce safety protocols to reduce accidents and liabilities.Promote a safety-first culture.Financial Management

Oversee operations budget and track expenses.Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality.Use KPIs to guide financial and operational decisions.Strategic Planning

Provide insights for long-term strategy based on data and trends.Identify new growth opportunities and innovations.Customer and Stakeholder Relations

Build strong relationships with customers and partners.Resolve operational issues impacting customer service.Qualifications/Requirements:Proven experience in operations management, logistics, and fleet management, preferably in a leadership role.Effective communication using speech, vision, and hearing.Strong understanding of safety and compliance regulations.Must be able to handle fast-paced environments and manage stress effectively.Excellent financial acumen and experience managing budgets.Demonstrated success in team leadership, strategic planning, and operational improvement.Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.Ability to travel to company locations, customer sites, and industry events.Requires hand dexterity for grasping and fine manipulations.Involves standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, climbing stairs/ladders.Occasional use of personal protective equipment (PPE).May work around energized equipment, hazardous materials, and chemicals.If you are a results-driven leader with a strong desire for operational excellence, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity!
