About the Role:The Quality Specialist/Engineer brings a 'testing mindset' to the team and is responsible for testing and delivering complex software requirements to accomplish business outcomes.They are subject matter experts on testing practices, ensuring that the testing strategy and processes are well defined and continuously improved for the team or teams.This role is part of a centralized team within the Productivity Architecture Engineering organization.Responsibilities:
Establishing a test and automation strategyCreating common test frameworksDefining and managing test processes including:Test data generationDefect managementReportingSupporting and maintaining compliance through various systems, processes, and tollgates related to the operation and development of application/servicesAligned to specific technology groups within the teamCreating and optimizing test processes including defect management and reportingContributing to building quality into the System Design Lifecycle (SDLC) using best practices and toolsCreating a test automation strategy across the application stack (UI, API, Backend, etc.)Leading test planning for complex features that span across the platform or multiple teamsEnsuring alignment and sign off for test cases from business and other stakeholdersManaging test execution and assisting with resolving, communicating, or escalating any issues that may result in test plan varianceContributing to test data management approach, processes, and toolsParticipating in triaging reported issues/defects and assisting with resolving or escalating them as necessaryCreating and managing traceabilityUsing testing tools and following processes to complete testing on a given test environment and assisting with the fulfillment of necessary steps required to promote the code base to higher-level environmentsDesired Skills:
Scaled Agile FrameworkJiraRequired Skills:
Working knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework and JiraUnderstanding the roles and responsibilities of other teams who participate in the system design lifecycle and engaging as requiredExpertise in various testing strategies and toolsAbility to support continuous integration and deployment activitiesUnderstanding of the DevOps cultureJob Requirement
