PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Receive Help Desk calls as the first point of contact for BISD employees seeking technical assistance with Information Services resources. Remotely resolve technical issues from district personnel. Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:High-school diploma or equivalency (GED) is requiredAssociate degree or high-level certification in computer related field preferredWork experience in related field acceptedSpecial Knowledge/Skills:

Great Customer Service skillsKnowledge of computer hardware and software applicationsExperience with Windows and Chrome OSAbility to assist employees with varying degrees of technical capabilitiesExperience:

One to three years in computer-related field preferredOne to three years in customer service preferredMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Routine ActivitiesReceive calls from the Helpdesk line in a timely manner.Remotely resolve computer related issues.Route Helpdesk calls to the appropriate department as needed.Conduct in-house repairs and install software as needed.Give technical assistance and in-service training as needed.Create support tickets and route to the appropriate Level II Technology Support Specialist.Escalate widespread issues to Level III Support Specialist or Supervisor.Perform duties in a professional, ethical, and responsible manner.Conduct oneself in a professional and ethical manner in accordance with generally accepted community standards.Perform other duties as assigned.Ensure data integrity and confidentiality.Professional Growth and Development

Participate in staff development activities to improve job-related skills.Demonstrate interest and initiative in professional improvement.Supervisory Responsibilities
