The Center for Transformational Play (CTP) is a research center launched by the Carnegie Mellon University School of Computer Science to house the research and development of transformational games. We use resources across the university and our region to increase their impact through an ecosystem of rich connections. Always growing the boundaries of what is possible, we build community, do high-quality research, make games, and connect with the world. to those who engage with it.We are seeking a Communications Lead to develop and lead communication strategies, collate and synthesize information from our core team, student collaborators, internal CMU partners, and other customers.Core responsibilities include:

Develop a communication strategy and lead its execution.Generate and edit written content related to CTP activities, and use it to communicate outward about our work.Handle communications-relevant data, including out media repository and publicity agreements.Coordinate communications-related projects and producing materials to support teammates.Engage CMU and other stakeholders related to communications, and supervise student assistants.Flexibility, excellence, and passion are vital qualities within the School of Computer Science Research Department. We are looking for someone who shares our values and who will support the mission of the university through their work.Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree.Three (3) years' experience in a communications role.Five (5) years of proven experience in the workforce.Experience with games or other types of play is a plus.Experience with writing content, leading communications and coordinating information.Experience with marketing.A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.Requirements
