Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Security Specialist with our client in the financial industry located in Pennington, NJ, Charlotte, NC, and Plano, TX. This is a 12 + month contract position.
Responsibilities:Work on Cisco, F5, CheckPoint, AVI, BlueCoat, BlueCat, and general DMZ technologies including an understanding of Middleware and Platform inter-operations within a DMZWork with stakeholders daily to resolve/work on Incidents, Problems, Changes and Service Requests
Requirements:
Bachelor's degreeStrong experience in building Networks, configuring Load Balancers, Proxies and developing Firewall policiesExperience of networking, storage, clustering, patching activityFamiliar with building servers, installing software, supporting application releasesFamiliar with Vulnerability Management and Enterprise Security BaselinesAbility to manage a variety of individual network devicesAbility to adopt new skills and willing to upgrade skillStrong knowledge on Protocols such as TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, SSH, SFTP, etc.Well versed in diagnosing issues and problems that arise in large multi-datacenter multi-tiered application environmentsExcellent communication skills (both written and oral)ITIL process knowledgeStrong Network Operations Support background with exposure to huge production infrastructure (at-least 800+ production devices)Knowledge on several types of Network devices (LTM, GTM, FW, Routers, Switches, Proxies)Experience in DNS, DHCP, Load Balancing, AD, Domain Controller, Firewall, SSO technologiesExperience in configuring Routers, Switches and Load BalancersKnowledge in troubleshooting hardware break fix including WAN/LANKnowledge on Apache, IIS, Web site and Middleware configuration, Application Pool and renewal of SSL certificatesExperience in analyzing Packet Captures to provide root cause analysis or errors in protocol communicationsBasic Knowledge of managing and maintaining Virtual Machines in Virtual CentersAbility to coordinate with application and infrastructure teams during releases and implement the tasksExcellent documentation skills in MS Office, MS Visio and MS ProjectAssisting with tracking and managing vendor support tickets and be able to work with a team to triage and resolve urgent production issuesExperience with and participation in on-call support for the production environmentExperience with troubleshooting production applicationsExperience creating designs related to networking and load balancing (Working knowledge of leveraging F5 devices for web acceleration & caching, developing iRules)
Desired skills:
Master's degreeCISSP, CCNA, CCSA, CCSE, or CCENTStrong knowledge of DMZ technologies (FW, Network devices, and LTM/GTM)Basic knowledge of Middleware (MQ, Web) and Platform OS (Windows, Unix)Basic knowledge on VMwareProgramming experience interfacing with web and backend system interfaces
