Lab Technician III – Microbiology

ensures company standards are met for all functions as they pertain to the Microbiology Laboratory. Overtime may be required to meet business needs.Responsibilities:Maintains Microbiology laboratory in an ‘audit ready’ state at all times.Practices and maintains aseptic working conditions at all times.Performs microbiological tests on raw materials and bulk finished products using USP, other compendial methods, EPA, or verified methods for Total Aerobic Microbial Count, Total Combined Yeasts and Molds, S. Aureus, Salmonella, E. Coli, P. Aeruginosa, Coliforms, Heterotrophic bacteria and Bioburden tests.Prepares culture media and other reagents according to company procedures.Labels, transcribes and records documentation such as report sheets and laboratory notebooks as required by APs and SOPs.Maintains strictest standards of hygiene in production area and throughout facility including a clean work area at all times.Ensures project deadlines and performance standards are met.Monitors and records temperature log books.Processes and documents all paperwork and logbook receipt associated with raw material, in process and finished products testing.Verifies test results against specifications promptly alerting management of any specification excursions.Verifies specifications and results to ensure specifications are met.Schedules, coordinates, and tracks raw material, in process, and finished product testing.Receives and maintains lab supplies.Operates rapid micro instruments for testing with raw material, IP, FP and ST sample.Performs environmental monitoring testing for viable air, air particulate count, contact surface, non-contact surface, water testing, and compressed air.Follows/enforces that everyone adheres to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Standard Safety Practices, and all company policies/procedures.Completes other projects and duties as assigned by management.You must be available to work every other weekend (Sat or Sun).Qualifications:5+ years of experience in a laboratory setting OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field.Knowledge of microbiology techniques, terminology, equipment and supplies.Adaptability/Flexibility - able to adapt in changing circumstances/environments and to embrace new ideas.Communication Skills (Oral/Written) - able to speak clearly, concisely and accurately in order to ensure effective department operations.Computer Skills – ability to use MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook.Detail Oriented - pays close attention to detail, accuracy and completeness, double checking their work.What We Offer:Competitive Wages, starting at $23.00-$27.00/hour, depending on experience.Medical & Dental (company pays 75% of employees HMO plans).Discounted Vision.401k match dollar for dollar up to 3% of your salary.Paid Holidays.Vacation Days.Sick Days.Robinson Pharma is committed to providing equal employment opportunity without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected status with respect to recruitment, hiring, promotion and other terms and conditions of employment.
