Direct HireJOB DESCRIPTION:Our client is a 238-bed acute care hospital. For 40 years, they have served Bay County and the surrounding communities. The accredited facility offers comprehensive care, including advanced cardiac assessment and treatment, certified women's services, dedicated spaces for adult and pediatric emergency services, and is certified in Advanced Primary Stroke Care. The hospital is accredited as a Comprehensive Breast Care Center and is the area's only Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Resuscitation. Other services include orthopedic care, joint replacement, robotic surgery, cardiac, vascular, and interventional services. They are home to the only Pediatric ER in the community and the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in the region.Job Summary:Provide leadership for planning, management, implementation, integration, and coordination of the unit in support of facility goals dedicated to excellence, effective leadership, and financial stability.Support the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective patient care through activities based on facility strategic goals and objectives.What you will do in this role:Enhance the department through performance improvement and appropriate utilization of resources.Develop an operational system that supports a seamless flow of patients through the continuum of care.Facilitate the development of a comprehensive education program for patients and staff.Collaborate with physicians to provide leadership throughout the department.Evaluate and make recommendations regarding new technology and services.Collaborate proactively with all interdisciplinary team members and with a patient/family focus to facilitate and maximize client healthcare outcomes.Coordinate multi-disciplinary patient care conferences for high-risk or medically complex patients.Lead research projects under the IRB.Direct development of specific short and long-range programs and project plans to achieve facility objectives.Plan and coordinate activities for operational efficiency and effectiveness with a major impact on all other hospital areas.Effectively interview and select qualified personnel as required to meet department objectives.Ensure hiring practices conform to appropriate Affirmative Action/EEO practices and regulations.Provide direction to the staff and supervisors.Review performance of the department staff and approve staff evaluations.Responsible for appropriate disciplinary action of staff members as needed.What qualifications you will need:At least 2-3 years of RECENT ACUTE CARE experience.Manager level experience.Open to any adult inpatient experience from an acute hospital setting.Bachelor's Degree REQUIRED.Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.Registered Nurse or Advance Nurse Practitioner.Additional Information:Director reports to an ACNO and then to a CNO with opportunities for growth and advancement.Oversight over a 42-bed Med/Surg unit with 57 FTEs including Director, Manager, Clinical Nurse Coordinators, RNs, LPNs, and PCTs.SCHEDULE:COMPENSATION:Salary: $105,000Benefits:A total rewards package that supports the health, life, career, and retirement of our colleagues, including:Comprehensive medical coverage, prescription drug and behavioral health coverage, free telemedicine services, and free AirMed medical transportation.Options for dental and vision benefits, life and disability coverage, flexible spending accounts, and more.401(k) Plan with a 100% match on 3% to 9% of pay.Employee Stock Purchase Plan with 10% off HCA Healthcare stock.Education assistance and colleague recognition program.Time Away From Work Program and Employee Health Assistance Fund.
