Apply for our Director Med Surg Orthopedics role today!Job Summary and QualificationsJob Summary:Provide leadership for planning, management, implementation, integration, and coordination of the unit in support of facility goals dedicated to excellence, effective leadership, and financial stability. Support the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective patient care through activities based on facility strategic goals and objectives.What you will do in this role:Enhance the department through performance improvement and appropriate utilization of resources.Develop an operational system that supports a seamless flow of patients through the continuum of care.Facilitate the development of a comprehensive education program for patients and staff.Collaborate with physicians to provide leadership throughout the department.Evaluate and make recommendations regarding new technology and services.Collaborate proactively with all interdisciplinary team members with a patient/family focus to facilitate and maximize client healthcare outcomes.Coordinate multi-disciplinary patient care conferences for high-risk or medically complex patients.Lead research projects under the IRB.Direct development of specific short and long-range programs and project plans to obtain the facility objectives.Responsible for the planning and coordination of activities, operational efficiency, and effectiveness.Effectively interview and select qualified personnel to meet department objectives.Provide direction to the staff and supervisors, review performance, and approve staff evaluations.What qualifications you will need:Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.Registered Nurse, or Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).If you're looking for a leadership opportunity that provides both personal satisfaction and professional growth, apply to join HCA Healthcare as a(an) Director Med Surg Orthopedics.
