The professional will support the development and execution of the framework for escalating customers of concern that either drive or are involved in an Anti-financial crime (AFC) risk event (e.g., Suspicious Activity Report) and for determining the appropriate actions that should be taken with those customers. These actions include but are not limited to:Increasing the customer risk ratingPerforming enhanced due diligencePerforming enhanced and/or more frequent transaction monitoringIssuing customer restriction noticesRestricting transactional flowsFurther escalation to Global AFC where the client has a global relationship with the Bank; and exiting the customer relationshipWhat We Offer You

Proactively support the definition of the list of AFC risk events that require escalation and review the Proactively participate in and support the Customer Risk Working Group with AFC teams and Business partners to determine 1) if customer relationships require additional analysis considering AFC risk events, 2) if the customer requires escalation to Senior Management, and 3) what is the proposed action(s) that should be taken to manage the risk of the customerPartnering with the Business and Corporate Bank AFC Advisory to perform targeted reviews of correspondent Bank customers when higher levels of AFC risk events occurEscalating the customers and proposed actions to the Americas AFC Risk Identification Forum (“RIF”) for review and decisioningActively support driving the agenda and materials for and leading applicable discussions at the RIF; and tracking decisions and actions made at the RIFEnsuring all actions have an owner and are tracked until implemented or closed, and disseminating customer risk metrics (e.g., triggers and SAR trends) to the RIFParticipating in and ensuring there is alignment between Business-owned forums and the RIF; and Conducting customer reviews when prompted by Global AFC requestsSkills You’ll Need

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; JD or MBA a plusModerate experience within the AFC function or in Business line roles supporting the AFC programKnowledge of Bank customers, products, and servicesSkills That Will Help You Excel

Previous experience with regulators a plus; some experience in leading and performing financial crime investigationsExperience in multiple AFC programs (Anti-money laundering (AML), Sanctions, Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC), Fraud), an articulate and effective speaker and presenterAbility to act decisively and manage multiple projects simultaneously, robust, credible and organizationally savvy, with an ability to grasp complex issues quicklyAble to work independently to manage projects and deliverables to completionStrategically agile and possess influencing and presentation skills for all levels of internal managementExpectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Jacksonville office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.Deutsche Bank provides reasonable accommodations to candidates and employees with a substantiated need based on disability and/or religion.The salary range for this position in Jacksonville is $78,000 to $111,800. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.
