Job SummaryThe Behavioral Health Music Therapist will work as a member of the care team to help respond to the diverse social needs of patients and families seeking acute and/or long-term behavioral health care. This service line supports patients from early childhood through young adulthood. The music therapist will implement group and individual sessions, while also collaborating with various interdisciplinary team members to improve patient outcomes.Responsibilities

Provide music therapy interventions to support the developmental, rehabilitative, psychological, socioemotional, and psychoeducational needs of BCH patients and families from various demographic and multicultural backgrounds.Work in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to assess, evaluate, and document the therapeutic needs of patients to address the medical, procedural, surgical, diagnostic, and prognostic experiences of patients and families.Provide basic guidance and instruction on student/intern performance and interactions with patients and families.Qualifications
