JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY:Provides supervisory oversight of security controls and troubleshooting efforts of security services related to business critical applications and systems; Is highly experienced and capable of: leading project engagements, consulting business lines on the use of security technologies, managing staff, evaluating and recommending new technical and administrative controls, and providing mentoring and guidance to junior team members. Additional duties may consist of reacting to security alerts in a timely manner.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Plan, prioritize, and coordinate assignments of information security associatesDesign, develop, and support various security controls as part of the overall Enterprise Security ProgramStandardize, document, maintain, and automate where possible, information security controlsEnsure compliance with Hancock Whitney's policies, guidelines, and architecture; documenting exceptionsWork with other bank leaders to support the mission and core values of the bank.Provide mentoring, guidance and training to staff of information security associates.Perform other related job duties and special projects as assignedEnsure that user community understands and adheres to necessary procedures to maintain securityConduct accurate evaluation of the level of security requiredWeigh business needs against security concerns and articulate issues to managementWork with auditors and examiners to assist in gathering requested information for reviewParticipates in continuing education to keep certifications up to date and to stay abreast of Information Security Technology Trends.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:May have supervisory responsibilities. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws; Provides guidance and oversight to and is responsible for the coordination and evaluation of the assigned team. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring and training associates; planning, assigning and directing work; performance management; associate compensation; approving expense reports; addressing concerns and resolving problems.MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:Required: Associate's degree in Information Systems or relevant science degree or senior security certification (i.e. CISSP, GSE) and 6+ years related experienceAn equivalent combination of education and experience is allowedESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to work under stress and meet deadlinesAbility to operate related equipment to perform the essential job functionsAbility to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functionsAbility to travel if required to perform the essential job functionsAbility to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.
