The

VP of Retail Banking

is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and directing the retail banking operations of the credit union. This position involves managing the branch network and Contact Center, developing retail banking strategies, enhancing the member experience, and driving the growth of deposits and loans. The VP of Retail Banking will work closely with executive leadership, Contact Center leaders, regional branch leads, and credit union management to ensure that the credit union's sales, service, and operations meet the needs of its members and align with the organization's overall goals.

Responsibilities

Provide visionary leadership to the retail banking team, fostering a culture of excellence and member-centric service.Monitor and analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and member needs to identify growth opportunities.Collaborate with executive leadership, AVP of Business Development, and VP of Corporate and Community Partnerships to establish professional relationships.Oversee the day-to-day operations of the retail banking division, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.Partner with the Operations Analyst and the Learning and Development team to implement policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.Manage branch network performance, ensuring all locations meet operational, sales, and service standards.Ensure a superior member experience across all retail channels, including in-branch, online, and mobile banking.Implement initiatives to continuously improve service quality and member satisfaction.Address member concerns and feedback promptly and effectively.Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to implement strategic projects, including but not limited to enhancing retail banking products, services, and experiences.Monitor and assess the performance of retail banking deposit and loan products, making recommendations for enhancements based on member needs and market trends.Collaborate with Executive Leadership, AVP of Business Development, VP of Corporate and Community Partnerships and marketing to ensure retail banking sales teams achieve deposit and loan growth targets.Collaborate with business development and marketing teams to deploy strategies and campaigns to attract new members and retain existing ones.Provide support for community outreach, business development, financial literacy events, and networking to promote the credit union's products and services.Collaborate with Executive leadership to determine the retail banking budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and achievement of financial targets.Monitor branch and contact center financial performance, including deposits, loans, and fee income, and implement corrective actions as needed.Ensure that all retail banking operations comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.Identify and mitigate risks associated with retail banking activities.Maintain a robust system of internal controls to safeguard member assets.Ensure consistent business practices across the branch network allowing for satisfactory audits.Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing retail banking team.Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.Achieve a minimum of "Satisfactory" rating on internal audits and examinations.Accomplish the credit union's mission by completing relevant duties as needed when requested by management or other staff members.All other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred. A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in retail banking, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a financial institution is required.

The compensation range provided is in compliance with state specific laws. Factors that may be used to determine your actual rate of pay include your specific skills, years of experience, and other qualifications.

Salary: $175000 - $185000.00 per year
