Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing to oversee the care and management of our patients in a dynamic and compassionate environment. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of nursing administration, home care, and assisted living, with a strong background in acute care and hospice care. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, the ability to manage multiple shifts, and a commitment to resident rights.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement policies and procedures for the nursing department that align with our organization's mission and vision.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing department, including staffing, scheduling, and workflow management.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain a high level of quality care.
Provide guidance and support to nurses and other staff members, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, including physicians and hospice services.
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in nursing practice and physiology knowledge, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction surveys to continuously improve our services.
Manage and resolve any conflicts or issues that may arise between staff members or between staff members and residents.
Ensure that all staff members are aware of resident rights and are trained to respect these rights.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing administration, preferably in a home care or assisted living setting.
Proven track record of effective nurse management and shift management.
Strong understanding of nursing practice, including acute care, hospice care, and resident rights.
Experience with regulatory compliance and quality care initiatives.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
Skills:

Familiarity with assisted living and hospice care.
Strong understanding of physiology knowledge and its application to patient care.

Pay: $75.00 - $80.00 per hour
