Part-time Senior Accountant
to join our dynamic team of fractional financial professionals. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to our diverse portfolio of clients. Your work will be meaningful and exciting, supporting businesses that are going through transformation, growth, process improvement, fundraising, preparing for an exit, and/or looking to acquire other companies.
Job Description:As a Fractional Sr. Accountant with Ascent CFO Solutions, you will be a strong Accountant, responsible for reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures for our clients. A successful Senior Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.
Primary Responsibilities
for this role:Month end close reconciliationsFinancial reportingManage/track cash flowA/P, A/R, P/R and GL closingRolling forecast and budget preparationClient onboarding including Chart of Account (COA) and GL clean-upImplementing system integration with Quickbooks Online (QBO) including bank, credit card and payroll systems
The Ideal Candidate
has the following experience:4+ years of experience in public and/or private company accountingBachelor's degree requiredHighly proficient in Quickbooks Online (QBO); experience with accounting software (NetSuite, etc) a plusTech-Savvy, comfortable learning new cloud toolsAdvanced Excel skills are requiredExperience using payroll, expense reimbursement and bill pay systems (Gusto, etc)Understanding of GAAP accountingWorking knowledge of preparing tax filings such as 1099s and sales tax formsPassion for collaboration and providing excellent client service
Compensation:
$40-50/hour based on experience
Availability:
Start date approximately June 1, 2024
Hours:
Approximately 18-20 hours/week (could ramp up from there)
Location:
Boulder/Denver
based preferred, Remote role with some in-person meetings/events
